What’s Her Deal?
Audra Goffeney is a British-American multi-disciplinary artist.
A weird little guy who loves weird little stories.
Her work is all about belonging- how we do it, why we do it and what gets left behind when we do it. She uses familiar objects and genres to draw her audience into an uneasy world where their sense and memory are inverted. Growing up poor on a small island on the border of the US and Canada left her between cultures and worlds.
She’s always been fascinated by the moment two foreign objects touch each other, changing their chemistry and course through the universe.
She is a teacher, director and performer in improv theatre, where she’s worked with the Wellcome Trust and produced theatrical events for the City of London’s Women, Work and Power Festival.
